Nick is a builder living in the Dordogne in France. But that is much much too simple a description of what he does and more to the point - how he does it. He brings the qualities that many corporates aspire to be but rarely achieve .. I will let his words speak for themselves ... Just a hint .. what role do you think a fishing rod could possibly have when installing fibre ..?!

I was blessed to be able to be around Frank Farrelly (the master of Provocative Therapy) for over 20 years. The learning I gained from him set me free and changed my life. Being provocative is about freedom; freedom to be true to yourself and to provoke others to do the same. Rather than show provocative coaching demos .. on one of my programmes I decided to record a conversation with Frank about him and his life and about June his wife who accompanied him for so many years until she developed Alzheimers. His love for her was endless and I had the fortune of witnessing them together for so many years and to witness the care he gave her as she started to show the signs of this illness. We also talk about his approach to being Provocative with a bit about his history of working with extreme patients in State Mendoza hospital where he realised that his approach worked (when most others did not) and at a time when the term Provocative Therapy was born. (He was originally going to call it protest therapy). So just listen and you will hear the words of a Master.

I loved being a guest on Connekt Coaching revealing the 'secrets' as they say of NLP and Provocative Coaching. It was inevitable that it was going to go there with these two crazy lovely guys Conor and Kallum. Conor and Kallum certainly live up the Connekt name. They both really know how to connect at a deep and fun level.

Well here I am ready now to return home and with Leanne's questions and curiosity exploring this rich season of programmes here in Kerala, in the south of India. This part of India, this strip of land called Vypin Island holds a part of my heart. A large part. This magical place is a home not just because of the beautiful and powerful water that is the Arabian Sea but because of the people; my dearest dearest friends. `It delights me to share my love of India and its people with those who join us here on our programmes. And I loved sharing my strategies for the way i work with Leanne whose sincere interest to learn stimulated my reflections.

A story without ending. We tried to conclude this conversation 3 times and each time we paused the recording Nick shared another gem and I just had to restart. Gems too good to miss in this exchange about living the principles of true leadership. There are so many companies and executives who can talk grand words. Nick doesn’t talk grand words - he embodies great ones. He lives a life of continuous learning in the service of others. He is committed to continuous learning, to being sensitive to the effect he has on those around him and flexible in how he has learnt to find what works. And the evidence? The endless examples of how Nick responds to the opportunities in work and life.
