NLP Intensive

What is an Intensive Programme? Intensives are in-person programmes.  Currently I run them at my home in France, in a colleague’s villa in Italy and in Kerala, India. Each of these programmes is run as one complete programme (unless you are studying at the level of Master Practitioner in which case your work on a modelling project is supported and completed subsequent to the core programme). This is in contrast to some of the online programmes which can be spread over several weeks.

However Intensive does not mean working all hours, quite the contrary. Each of these events is held in what I consider to be a beautiful location and I encourage and design time to reflect on the experiences, both such important parts of the Learning Cycle. The days in a ‘training room’ usually start at 0930 or 1000 and even then there will be activities that will take you outside if we are not outside already!! I work on the principle that a state of ease, fun and movement are profound accelerators to the way and depth with which we learn. People return again and again to these programmes as each one is different and every time helps to deepen the learning and take it to a new level (which is also true of the online programmes).

What makes it especially Intensive is that delegates usually stay in the same place or places close to each other. They spend time together in the evenings and reflect in very informal ways. This reflection is such a key part of the day even if people choose to spend it alone. Nevertheless the conversations between those attending a programme are of a very different style to the conversations that people might have at other times in their lives. They are certainly different if there are people who are not a part of the programme participating. So the irony is that in doing less and having space more learning happens.
