Ashok Subramaniam

Ashok is the person who (as a student) asked me to come to India. Despite my resistance he persisted and I eventually travelled to Chennai where he had set up all sorts of events for me to conduct - including a session to the Intelligence Arm of the Chennai Police! And that was the beginning of a remarkable journey for me in my increasing love for India. Ashok taught me so much about the culture, the customs, the rituals .. It was such a rich foundation that enabled me to not only respect the culture but to adopt much of it for myself. Ashok and I are lifelong friends. We laugh a lot together. He is a pioneer and I admire his creative independence in all that he does. Thank you Ashok for all that you have given and continue to give to me.
